Greek innovation and fresh business ideas meet with French at the 2nd French-Greek MAZINNOV forum today and tomorrow at Technopolis in Gazi. Dozens of startupers, new and experienced entrepreneurs, in every field, want to showcase their products and services and look for collaborations either to materialize their ideas or expand their business. The Renewable Energy Agency was at the beginning of the forum, which was attended by French Ambassador Christophe Chantepy.

Among the startups we found:

Babylon Gardens, which, as the head of Spyros Kouvelis emphasizes, has the most advanced green roof technology in the world because it combines very lightweight - 30 kilos square, while other technologies start at 90 kilos - given as important for the statics of a building. "We use a special hydrophilic foam in the construction, which means we keep moisture and need less watering by 40% -60% and all the material is prepacked in boxes that are placed very quickly and it reduces cost. The result is aesthetically very nice and saves heat loss because it works as thermal insulation, "he says, adding that" a house is estimated to cost 60-100 euros per square meter, but that also saves the cost of thermal insulation ".

Babylon Gardens has so far constructed two crèches of the Athenians and is currently in the process of discussing a construction in the French Embassy and Eleftherios Venizelos, and has many houses as well. "We also start a subsidiary in France where the market is very dynamic and I hope we will start here a partnership with a company that makes hydroponic farming in tomatoes and other products because we are also targeting the cultivation of such species at home".

This year's event is much larger than last year, says Mr. Kouvelis, while for MAZINNOV, he says "Helps a Greek, come to show his technology, and secondly to find companies with which he can work to grow this which makes and engage in collaborations with mutual benefit. "

"Yotups" startups

Another part of the event concerns "adoptions". At this evening's event, where about 20 startup adoptions or new businesses are expected to be made by experts, L 'Oreal Hellas is expected to adopt Bubbling. Bubbllz has developed an application that "enables companies to reward the user of social media who talk about their products and services. It is an application based on the assumption that the user of social media, which is every citizen, has the power in his hands, "said Alexa Bry, the communications director for communications.

Another application that is looking for its way through the Mazinovv organization is called ICONEM. It presents through special glasses three-dimensional archaeological sites and monuments. The 3D presentation of Delos has already been completed, followed by Delphi and other archaeological sites. Chief Sales Officer Chalila Hassuna told ANA-MPA that ICONEM is working with the Greek Ministry of Culture, the French state, and there is a lot of interest from museums, archaeologists, universities and much to offer to tourism. In a recent exhibition at the Grand Palais, the innovative company visited 60,000 people.

Erasmus for young entrepreneurs

The "Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs" program had its own stand. This European program is an umbrella for helping startups and new innovative businesses. It was launched immediately after the onset of the global financial crisis in response to the entrepreneurial deficit in Europe and the need to boost cross-border trade in the EU. The program helps to establish partnerships between experienced and new entrepreneurs or those who have a business plan and wish to acquire business, says Andreas Stefanidis, president of the Academy of Entrepreneurship.
