European Fund Opportunity: Solution for launching light satellites

As part of Horizon 2020, European Comission is funding projects dedicated to design solutions for launching light satellites.
The private spaceflight company SpaceX launched two communications satellites to space Sunday (March 1) from Florida. Watch a video of the launch.
What? More precisely solutions of light-satellites launching devices into low-earth orbit, technologically non-dependent, and enabling low-cost launch.
Why? Develop space solutions to better answer global and societal challenges (climate change, disaster management, security threats, ...). It will accompany the envisionned exponential development of light satellites between 2020 and 2025. 
Who? All legal entitites (natural or legal persons, including international organisations) from EU Member States.

- ERC Starting grants: grants up to 1.500.000 for 5 years for promising early career researchers with 2 to 7 years of experience after PHD.
- ERC Consolidator grants: grants up to 2.000.000 for 5 years for excellent researchers with7 to 12 years experience after PHD.
- ERC Advance Grants: grants up to 2.500.000 for 5 years for established research leaders with recognised track record of research achievments.
- ERC Proof of Concept: grants up to 150.000 for existing ERC grant holders to bring their research ideas closer to market.
- ERC Synergy Grants: grants up to 10.000.000 for 6 years to adress ambitious research questions which can be answered only through coordinated work of small of 2-4 investigators.
- Additional Opportunities: for researchers who want to work with ERC grantees team.
Why? To support talented scientist producing excellence.
Who? Researchers of any nationality with at least 2-7 years of experience since completion of PHD, from any field of research, conducting research in public or private research organisation in EU member state or an associated country to Horizon 2020.

Internship grants in French companies, in cooperation with the Bodossakis Foundation

The Bodossakis Foundation, in partnership with the French Embassy in Greece, offers 8 internship grants of 4 to 6 months for young Greek graduates from companies or organizations in France.The monthly grants awarded to trainees cover the cost of living in France (for an amount of 1,100 euros / month for the duration of the internship is 4 or 6 months).

The internship program in partnership with the Embassy of France aims to "sponsor"
Greek post-graduates for 4 to 6 months work experiences in French companies.
The scholarship should help to strengthen the employability of Greek graduates in the scientific fields and deepen the links between clusters and universities in France and Greece.

Eligibility criterion
-  Candidates must be Greek citizens
- They must master perfectly English language (Proficiency or TOEFL including 80/213/550 units or IELTS equivalent or superior to 6.5). For Aerospace Valley, knowledge of French is an asset.
- They must meet the specific criteria of each internship
- They must have very good computer skills
- They must be under 32 years old.

Innovafood : Contest on Food Innovation and Vegetal (May 2018)

You have until May 25th to participate in the French Innovafood competititon organized by BPI France (the public investments bank) for plant food innovation. Apply before May 25, 2018 highlight your innovation projects boosting or changing consumption around fruits and vegetables, cereals and legumes or drinks and wine.

The prices for the laureates are: an exhibition space at SIAL Food Salon in Paris, highlights of the products at different french events, 6 months of membership in Terralia cluster, 6 months of accomodation and support. and all registrants will benefit from visibility in the media and counseling from experts.

From May 28th to June 11th Internet users will vote on the projects, followed by a selection by the technical jury before the final presentation in front of a national jury.
